The South African Under-20 Women's team, nicknamed the Junior Springbok Women, first played in 2013, featuring in a variety of matches annualy to provide the age-group players with an opportunity to experience what international rugby is all about before making the step up to the senior ranks. After a hiatus in 2025, the team will be back in action again in 2026, taking on their age-group counterparts from the USA in two matches in Stellenbosch.
