BIO

A graduate in Human Movement Sciences from the University of Fort Hare, Zintle Mpupha was a national age-group cricket player, but her decision to take up rugby has been endorsed by several national selections in fifteens and sevens. She co-captained the Springbok Women’s Sevens team at both the 2018 and 2022 Rugby World Cup Sevens and the Commonwealth Games before representing the Springbok Women at the Rugby World Cups in New Zealand and England. Mpupha, a hard running centre in fifteens who almost scores tries at will, formed part of the historic squad that participated in the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. She made her Test debut against Wales in Cardiff in 2018.
