Born in Queenstown, Anathi Qolo became South Africa’s 11th Test captain when she led the team to the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup in Madagascar in 2025. A lineout specialist and mobile utility forward, she made her debut a year earlier against Spain in Valladolid and in 2026 captained her provincial outfit, the Isuzu Bulls Daisies, to their fourth consecutive Pick n Pay Women's Super League title.
