Few international props can claim a Rugby World Cup Sevens cap (and a try), but then not many in the game have packed in as much as Babalwa Latsha had in her career. She was the first local player to play abroad with a professional contract and completed her LLB studies at the University of Western Cape in between rugby and multiple community projects. Apart from her cameo in sevens, Latsha – who made her Test debut against Wales in Cardiff in 2018 – is one of the leaders in the Bok Women team. She prefers to do her talking in the dark arts of the game where “salads don’t win scrums”.
