Chumisa Qawe, an abrasive midfielder, has been a regular starter for the Springbok Women since her debut in 2019. Chumisa and her twin sister, Chuma, both played Test rugby and the Eastern Cape-raised sisters became the first pair of twins to play for the national team. They also represented SA at the 2022 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand and Chumisa, one of the leaders in the team having captained the Bok Women, recovered in time from a knee injury to gain selection to the 2025 squad.
