Handre Pollard has established himself as one of the stalwarts of the Springbok backline with nerves of steel under the most intense pressure, with his main traits being his calm nature on attack and accurate goal-kicking. Pollard played for the Junior Boks for three seasons, including 2012 when he was still at school and they won the Junior World Champs, and shortly after leading the SA U20s in 2024, he made his Test debut against Scotland. He won back-to-back Rugby Worls Cups in 2019 and 2023, and brings vast experience and skill to the squad.
