Jean-Luc du Preez, a versatile loose forward who can play lock if pressed, made his Test debut in 2016 and had a strong season in 2017, but has not been a regular member of the squad since mainly due to untimely injuries. His father Robert, and brothers Robert and Dan, are all capped Springboks.
