Last Saturday was a special evening for 10 players in the Springbok squad as Paul de Villiers, Carlu Sadie, Vusi Moyo and Jaco Williams were capped for their Test debuts (unfortunately Ruben van Heerden could not make it), Cobus Reinach, Cheslin Kolbe, Damian Willemse and Ox Nche were honoured for reaching 50 Tests, while Damian De Allende and Pieter-Steph du Toit received their gold caps for reaching 100 Tests for South Africa.
