About
The SA Cup, a brand-new provincial competition featuring 46 games, kicks off on Human Rights Day (Thursday, 21 March) in what will be the official start to the local provincial season for 2024. The SA Cup fills an important gap between pre-season and the start of the Currie Cup Premier and First Division competitions, and it replaces the Mzanzi Challenge which served a similar purpose last year. Ten provincial sides will face each other over nine consecutive weeks. At the conclusion of the league phase, the two top ranked sides will compete in the SA Cup Final on the weekend of 24 and 25 May.
