A hat-trick from Jeandre Rudolph helped the visitors extend their table-topping lead on the North Section log. This win means the iSG Pumas along with DHL Western Province, who are set to face Boland at Florida Park in Cape Town on Sunday, are the only unbeaten sides in this year's competition.

The narrow halftime lead held by the visiting side set up an exciting second half, with the home side trying to lift themselves off the second last position.

Four tries for the home side mean they take away at least one bonus point from the match.

Despite the dominance of the iSG Pumas, had the kicking accuracy of the Griffons' kickers been on-song, the home side could have caused panic for the log leaders. Scrumhalf Jaywinn Juries got onto the try-scoring sheet, along with two conversions and two penalties taking his personal tally to 15 points.

Along with Rudolph's hat-trick the visitors managed to cross the whitewash five times taking their total tries for the afternoon to eight, including a brace for Ruwellyn Isbell.

Isbell got the opening try but the home side hit back almost immediately to take a 10-5 lead in the first ten minutes. The lead changed hands a few times in the first half. It was the visitors who enjoyed a slender four-point lead as sides headed into the halftime break, 24-20.

The home side regained the lead for the last time almost immediately after the second half got underway, with Nofuma and Mumba getting over for the third and fourth Down Touch Griffons' tries, respectively.

The iSG Pumas used their territory and possession to good effect in the second half, with Rudolph completing his hat-trick and Janse Van Rensburg dotting down three minutes from the final whistle. Davids converted the sixth try, 48-33.
